Solar lighting is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way to add lighting to the outside of a home or business.

Solar lights generate and store their own power through the day and release the energy at night. They are equipped with LED (light emitting diodes) lights that differ from regular light bulbs in that they won't burn out and don't generate a lot of heat.

Solar lighting normally does not have enough light to provide illumination but is used more for defining walkways and direction at night, much like garden lamps or lanterns.

When solar lights were first introduced as garden lighting, they were quite expensive to buy. But as people have become more environmentally aware, the demand for solar lights has gone up, sending the price down significantly.
