Soy candles are a unique variety of candle that are a niche market in the candle industry. Soy candles are made from the soy wax that comes from soybean oil. However, soy candles can also include palm wax, beeswax, paraffin, etc. It just depends on what the creator of the candle likes and what the person purchasing the candle is interested in.

Soy candles melt at a much lower temperature than regular wax candles; therefore, most are in containers or boxes that can contain the soy candle wax once it heats up. If you add more beeswax to the soy wax, the wax will melt at a higher temperature.

Soy wax can be purchased in flake form or pellet form from most specialty shops. It is vanilla or cream colored and is quite inexpensive. Once you have the soy wax and wick, you can create scented soy candles.

There are many websites that can show you how to create soy candles. Making soy candles can be a business or an enjoyable hobby.
