Historically, people who collected stickers were A.) usually under the age of 10 or B.) hung out at restaurants until 2:00 am in the morning. However, stickers and sticker collecting have enjoyed a Renaissance Age lately, as bumper stickers, team stickers, and scrapbooking have become wildly popular.

Stickers, in their strictest sense, are a type of label. And this was most likely where they got their start. When something needed a label to identify who it belonged to, a sticker or label was used to mark it. Advertising gurus, political campaign managers, and promotional companies quickly picked up on this idea and began making stickers a part of their propaganda and ideologies.

Bumper stickers have seen a resurgence recently, but car registration stickers and oil change stickers inside your car's windshield are probably even more common and appear on almost every car and automobile on the road today!

Whether they are made of acrylic, 3D, card stock, epoxy, fabric, paper, puffy, vellum, or another type of material, stickers will be a part of our culture for years to come.
