Isn't it fun to watch the fans of a tennis match shaking their heads "no" in slow motion? They're not being negative. In fact, I bet they wish they could shake in the affirmative, but that's not the normal course of the ball action.

The table tennis watchers are a great deal more aggressive. They aren't slow shakers at all. They are a suspicious bunch, with their eyes never focused on one spot, darting back and forth very evasively.

Table tennis, or ping pong, is the sport of champions. It's kind of like a chess match — your turn, then mine — but you can't strategize and plan your moves out far in advance. Sometimes you are the aggressor. Other times you are on the defense, being more reactive. And sometimes, it's altogether more fun to pitch the paddles, ball, and net aside and put a cotton ball in the middle, each person hyperventilating until the cotton passes off of the defender's side of the edge of the table.
