Dear Ryan, Hey buddy boy, what’s up? Right now you’re probably snoozing as I write this, given the time difference and all. But I just thought I’d have this ready for you, so you know, you’ll know you’re on my mind today (again).

The Veronicas video for their latest single “Take Me On the Floor” has caused a commotion! What’s all the fuss about? Well, there’s some footage of girls kissing girls. Apparently the sexy shots mean we’ll never see the clip on Video Hits and the like, who will instead screen a much tamer version.

Today the Soundtrack to Mamma Mia! climbs from 3-1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts with 130,000 copies sold last week. It took five weeks to accomplish this feat, but this represents the first time that ABBA has topped the American Charts.

Regular readers now that I have a fatal weakness for ABBA.  I can’t help it.  Sometime back in the 70s, during my formative years, they left an imprint on my brain, and I just get fizzy happy when I hear their bouncy music and beautiful harmonies.  It turns out that I’m not alone.  John McCain also likes ABBA!

It looks like The Veronicas have seen Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” and upped her by ten.  They released the video for their new single that I was talking about a few weeks back - “Take Me on the Floor” and it is HOT.

The video for Take On Me was such a phenomenon in the 80’s when it first came out. How did they do that? was the question was on everybody’s minds. It was cinematic that’s for sure. ‘Twas a fantastic concept that was executed successfully. Plus the song isn’t too shabby either.
