tax reform

Tag details

Tax reform is a term used to describe how governing bodies alter or control the collection or management of taxes.

The government uses many ways to collect revenues through taxation. While the majority of taxes collected in this country are through income tax, land tax and retail tax, the government will still be seeking other ways in which to earn additional tax revenues.

Tax reform can result in a financial positive or a financial negative for the typical taxpayer, leaving people confused as to how changes would benefit them. Many government programs have been set up to provide taxpayer help and advice in the reasoning behind some tax reforms and how it relates to their everyday life.
