    http://justmytruth.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 28/ the-war-on-drugs-is-an-utter-fai…

Daily I come across articles that say this in one way or another. Oh, you hear of major drug busts that are pretty spectacular, but for the most part, the war on drugs is an utter failure. I’m not the only one saying this either.

    Reality Deniers

Yes. I am referring to a Canadian paper about Canadian politicians, but that doesn’t automatically make everything it says full of crap. In fact, this story hits the nail on the head. Both McCain and Obama favor the implementation of a cap-and-trade system similar to Europe’s.

50% of taxpayers pay 97% of all Federal taxes thanks to Bush Tax cut

    http://halfwaytoconcord.com/ 50-of-taxpayers-pay-97-of-all-federal-taxes-thanks-…

The politicans that want to raise taxes say that the Bush tax cut hurt the poor. Nothing could be further fromn the truth. The Wall Street Journal reports that “Washington is teeing up “the rich” for a big tax hike next year, as a way to make them “pay their fair share.” Yet, the latest [...]

    Taxing the consumer

    http://blog.netkarachi.com/ ?p=194

The principal of taxing is ability to pay but in our country it is to tax the poorest taxing those who do have ability to pay, as they are unable to resist. If a worker after a hard day’s toil goes to a restaurant to have a cup of tea, the tea leave has been taxed, the sugar has been taxed, the gas is taxed, if potable water was not available and the water has been purchased it is also taxed.

    http://www.gizmosforgeeks.com/ 2008/ 07/ 18/ iphone-3g-launch-and-network-proble…

The long awaited iPhone 3G was released on Friday, July 11th. But what should have been a happy and joyous day for iPhone fans, ended up being an exercise in frustration for many. AT&T’s insistence on trying to activate the phones in store taxed Apple’s authentication server (more info) and

    What Freedom Means to Nosher

    http://overthegardenfence.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ what-freedom-means-to-nosher.h…

For a wet English July, the current weather has not been too unkind to our crops. Here in South Gloucestershire in the good old Dis-United Kingdom we enjoy, on the whole, a temperate climate that usually results in good growth and good produce. And so, despite the heavy showers, Nosher is looking very pleased with his little allotment plot this year.
