Teambuilding is an exercise that has become popular in recent years, mostly in the business world. It is a practice used to build a team atmosphere and camaraderie in the workplace to improve overall performance by employees.

Specifically, companies will offer teambuilding to better employees' communication amongst their peers and create motivation.

Another important benefit to teambuilding is the boost to employee morale. Something used to enhance teambuilding in the workplace is the simple acknowledgment of an individual's achievements and efforts.

Teambuilding activities are a form of reward and learning. Activities are usually made to be fun and enjoyable for all attending and could include gatherings outside the workplace such as paintball, musical workshops, and spiritual retreats.
