technologies

In its most simple definition, technologies are the knowledge and tool-usage of a species. In the blogosphere, technologies and related terms (like technology, tech, hi-tech, etc.) generally refer to computers, the internet and an entire array of electronic devices, gadgets and gizmos. Other blogs using this tag include blogs discussing the Green movement and how tech is adapting, as well as virtually any site discussing innovative new knowledge or tools.

Technologies are a very popular subject throughout the blogsphere, because early adopters of blogging tended to be like early adopters of everything else - tech-minded folk who blogged about what they knew best. Technologies blogs can include new product reviews, debate on emerging technologies, research, and processes, as well as general news and opinion pertaining to technology.

Some Tech blogs of note include smartblogs.com, engadget.com, cleantech.com, smartmobs.com, and techcrunch.com, to name just a few.
