John McCain's got quite the storied past, which is probably why he lives there most of the time! But yesterday he had more of a Back To The Future moment in which he justified his past positions based on current events that he knew then were going to happen but not because they would be an obvious result of the action he was about to take.

Whew... Good thing the Iraq war is over and everything is flower petals and glory to Dave Petraeus. There are still people dying there every day, it's still killing U.S. troops at about 1 a day, its killing Iraqi's (those that are left) at much, much greater numbers. Why are we still there?

I am not making this up. John McCain on Wednesday claimed that what our faltering economy needs is an "economic surge". Like I said, I am not making this up. I guess he plans on sending 30,000 economists to strategic financial locations across the map.
