Jayde Previews Strand of the Ancients and Lake Wintergrasp

    http://deathknight.info/ 2008/ 08/ jayde-previews-strand-of-the-ancients-and-lak…

Jayde posted another video showing some Death Knight PvP action in the new battle ground Strand of the Ancients and the world zone Lake Wintergrasp. No more crying about ganking lowbies either, pay close attention to when he shreds a glaive rogue near the beginning.

The World of Lists: Documentaries Get Their Due

    http://www.nerve.com/ CS/ blogs/ screengrab/ archive/ 2008/ 08/ 05/ the-world-of…

Though we love movie-related lists as much as anybody -- indeed, as we love movie-related lists even more than anybody -- we've noticed a somewhat disturbing trend in the recent flood-tide of best-ofs: the documentary often gets the short shrift.

Cute little 14-year-old Taylor Momsen — aka Gossip Girl's "Little J" — launches her modeling career with a rather self-important bang. 'A source from the shoot - in Brooklyn - tells us that "Taylor was so nice and so cool. She took the subway from her apartment in Chelsea to the set, with her mom.

    Paris Plage

    http://babyccinoblog.com/ ?p=1452

There is no way the Parisians are going to be outdone by the Dutch. Amsterdam might have Strand Zuid, but we have Paris Plage — at least 2km of golden sand and palm trees all along the right bank of the Seine with scantly clad Parisians and Parisiennes sunning themselves.

Because the policeman told me to

    http://www.outsideallday.com/ the-policeman-told-me-to/

I snuck away from office email tonight and rode south on the strand away from here. Every month, or so, I use this course as my fitness test. Close to the turn around point with fitness test results on my mind I rode across the base of a local pier – passing signs and flashing lights reducing riders to walkers for safety reasons.

    Morning Thoughts

19th Century Phrenology Chart. Nothing like a little pseudoscience. Morning Thoughts I have been looking at Baker & Taylor online for a little bit. They have a section of selection lists for libraries. I have been looking at their starred reviews lists of books as well as some of their specialized e-lists on different subjects.

Memories Can Help Bridge The Gap Photographs copyright: DAVID McMAHON When I was a little kid growing up in Calcutta, my parents used to take me to The Strand and I remember seeing piles of crushed rock beside the broad roadway.

    Morning Thoughts

    http://bookcalendar.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ morning-thoughts.html

Morning Thoughts I am hoping to get a chance to travel into Manhattan today. I would like to visit the Strand Bookstore. Not far from the Strand Bookstore is Forbidden Planet, so I should be able to get a chance to go to both a bookstore and a comic book shop today. I will be heading through Grand Central station.
