Yup, that’s right. All this time we’ve been happily solving other people’s design dilemmas while silently stewing about our own. This part of the house isn’t on display in our before and after gallery- in fact, we often avoid photographing it altogether. But here it is, in all it’s cringeworthy glory.

Getting ready to head back to the Grant Park for Lollapalooza day 2. Before I do so there are some worthy concert announcements and updates that I wanted to share. First, MoB favorites The Broken West have been added to the Langhorne Slim + Centro-Matic show at The Stage Door in Madison on September 12th.

Completing our list, and surprising even ourselves, with a bang rather than a whimper, The Smiths’ great single “Ask” from late 1986 fulfills every favorite song quality we really long for. Virtuosic guitar? Obvs. Memorable lyrics? Well, yeah, and several of our favorites (”Nature Is A Language / Can’t You Read?” is pretty tremendous).

In the middle of the one hour twenty set - always good value the Weddoes - the band blast through ten minutes pre-George Best material that leaves a mosh that is getting older breathlessly tired from exertions.

As mentioned previously I - Dalliance man Michael Wood - have spoken to David Gedge of The Wedding Present once before but now that exchange has been added to: Michael: So, do you miss the Dutchess of York in Leeds? David: No Michael: Really? Are you sure that is not why you left? David laughs as Dalliance's Ria Wilkinson clicks...
