“Politically correct” basically means to not offend anyone. It is impossible to never offend anyone, it is however very possible to go out of ones way every day to try and never offend anyone. This seems to be the major goal most politically correct people shoot for. Personally I find this to be a censorship of sorts.

We had a gap in the rain this morning and whilst Squeak and I went to do our shopping at the market, Bubble and dOH went to the park with the new bike. When I turned up an hour later, I was met with the most beautiful sight I had seen in a long time.

You just get settled in and you begin to visualize the life you want and your focus goes to how uncomfortable you are so you get comfortable.  You start again and a loud noise from downstairs throws you.  You start again and…fill in the blank.

Today's lesson and yesterday's lesson necessarily go together. For if you let go of the world you see without it being replaced, it will feel like loss to you. And so today you are shown that there is a world you want beyond the world you see right now. It invites you to let go of the idea of loss and pain.

Let me repeat myself: glorious solitude is miiiiiiiiinnnneee! I don't know about other people, but I love being alone.

Nancie at More Than Conquerors has a great post up including a devotional that reflects on Jeremiah 17:17: "Do not be a terror to me; You are my hope in the day of doom." It really contradicts the notion that Christians are supposed to be bright, happy, sunshine, and flowers.
