In the beginning, man invented the wheel, and wise men have aspired for centuries to reinvent it ever since. But until that day comes, at least we have our tires. The true wheels of industry, tires are literally what move us as a society. They carry our people, they transport our goods, they power our civilization.

Tires, in one form or another, have been doing this for centuries now. From the chariots of antiquity, through the horse drawn carriages of early America, to the modern fuel injected machines of today. The top tire brands include Michelin, Firestone, BF Goodrich and Good Year.

But in addition to their practical applications, tires can also be a lot of fun. They come in a ridiculous variety of styles and sizes, allowing for numerous opportunities for accessorizing.

Don't believe us? Just check out the tires on a monster truck. From wide rims to white walls, tires can be as as much of a fashion statement as they are a practical tool in getting from point A to point B.
