BRUCE ALMIGHTY UK IMPORT BLU RAY DISC Jim Carrey returns to his zany, manic roots in this Capraesque comedy from director Tom Shadyac (ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE and LIAR LIAR). Carrey stars as Bruce Nolan, a television reporter in Buffalo, New York who lives a normal life with his sweet girlfriend Grace (Jennifer Aniston).

When I started this blog two months ago, I doubt I ever thought I would post something from the Yale Alumni Magazine. But there I was a few minutes ago, flipping through my copy that arrived in the mail today, and who do I see but "Ellyn Warren" from thirtysomething, actress Polly Draper.

The music is horribly dated—Steve Stevens' "Power of Suggestion" oozes early 90's cheese—and even the credits are suspect, as director Tom Shadyac and producer James G. Robinson have probably done more cinematic harm than good in the last fifteen years. But it's still a wicked way to start a comedy.
