Toyota is broadening its UK market Auris TR range with the introduction of the 90 Hp 1.4-liter D-4D diesel engine. Up until now, the Auris in TR spec was offered with the 1.4 VVT-i and 1.6 VVT-i petrol units and the 2.0 D-4D 130 diesel.

Spy photographers have captured Toyota’s new MPV, the Auris Verso, better known in Australia as the people-moving version of the Corolla. Currently unavailable in the Australian market, the Auris Verso is likely to carry over its range of petrol and diesel engines from the current generation.

The Toyota Auris TR is powered now with 1.4 and 1.6 VVT-i petrol and 2.0 D-4D 130 diesel engines with an optional MultiMode transmission available for the 1.6 version.

Following the launch of the flagship Auris SR180, Toyota UK is introducing a new sporty trim named SR. Available with the 1.6 Dual VVT-i petrol and 2.0 D-4D 130 diesel engines, the new SR grade benefits from lowered sports suspension and riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, both from Toyota Motorsport.

Toyota has announced that the new sportier flagship Toyota Auris will be available for delivery January next year in the UK. The 2008 Toyota Auris SR180 will have lower suspension springs and new rear spoiler. The rear window will be dark-tinted for more privacy and also the SR180 will fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels.
