traveling with children

Many parents believe traveling with children allows the child a better view of the world, and nurtures a global awareness.  Research has shown that children who travel, even for field trips, earn higher test scores in geography and history.  Traveling with children takes more planning, but most parents believe it is worth the effort.

Field trips and day trips are a great way to introduce children to travel.  Exploring your local museums and attractions gives children a sense of place and an awareness of where they live.

For a low-stress family vacation, plan ahead by searching family travel blogs and websites to get insider travel tips from parents who’ve been there.  These family vacation sites often give reviews of accommodations and attractions.  See which resorts have zero-entry pools for babies and toddlers, for example.  Many give product reviews that can help parents bring only the most useful road-tested travel gear.

Cruises and all-inclusive resorts are popular for family reunions and family travel in general.  All-inclusive packages help to keep the budget in check, and resorts and cruises offer amenities for all age groups.

Children love to explore.  Travel is a great way to explore places that will help them grow.
