Do you want to be trendy? Do you want to be cool? Do you want to sex up your lifestyle? Well, that may be easier said than done.

To be trendy, one must actually BE cool. Too many people get caught in the proverbial squirrel cage of trying to look cool when they really aren't. And that just smacks of trying too hard. And that very fact makes you uncool.

However, never fear. If you aren't really trendy, but you would like to be, there is hope. To be trendy you don't have to be a rocket surgeon or even a brain scientist. Just follow these simple guidelines:

First, make sure you dress well. Have the latest fashions in your wardrobe. Mark Twain once said, "Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence in our society." True enough. But you need to do one better and have fashionable clothes to wear whenever you go out.

Second, if you are at a loss for what to do or say in a given situation, just ask yourself, "What would Elvis do?" Do the same.

Finally, if you want to be trendy, don't ever get involved with Polka Dancing or stamp collecting. Bloggers speaking about being trendy can be found at sites like mytrendyblog and thetrendymommyblogdesigns.
