Sylvania's G Netbook Meso reviewed, pushed aside

The ho hum netbook was recently reviewed over at Laptop Mag, and while critics did applaud the Ubuntu Netbook Remix operating system and relatively great battery life, the 512MB of RAM hindered performance.

The stock distribution is Xandros based. That’s great since Xandros is Debian based itself, but not so great since it seemed configured specifically to resemble Windows in many ways.

Ubuntu Netbook Remix will NOT boot in 5-10 seconds

It turns out that isn't true. UNR is basically a custom version of Ubuntu Linux designed for low-power laptops with small screens and Intel Atom CPUs.
