updates

An update from a definitive standpoint is to relay the newest information.

An update tag is used to present new information for an already known piece of data, information or news. Users will typically update their blogs or websites with new information on an already presented topic. For example, if you already presented information about a new cell phone but now you learned the manufacturer made an announcement that the phone would be released to the public in 30 days, the update would be the new release date and any other applicable information. Some of the more popular blogs provide technical reviews and updates.  A programmer can update his/her code with a slightly improved version fixing bugs, etc.  Video games are regularly updated with patches to improve functionality.  

Updates are a very acceptable way of presenting new information rather than rehashing all of the old information again, often boring the readers who already know about the older information.
