AT&T CallVantage One Step Closer to Oblivion August 15, 2008 3:34 PM | 1 Comment As I predicted on July 3rd, AT&T would soon be dropping its CallVantage broadband VoIP service since they dropped their affiliate marketing channel. Well, today I learned that AT&T is no longer accepting ANY new orders from ANY source - affiliate or otherwise.

The bigwig made known that U-verse TV's long-term HD plans were still undisclosed, though "north of 100 [HD channels]" were in its near-term sights.

Direct TV reported their quarterly results last week, and it was business as usual for the company, which continued to add subscribers despite the slowdown in the US economy. For the second quarter 2008, which covers the months of April through June, Direct TV added 129,000 new subscribers.
