Valentines Day is a holiday celebrated annually on February 14. Although this holiday was originally named for the Roman Christian martyr St. Valentine, it has long since come to be known as "the lovers holiday." Expressions of romance between couples are expressed on Valentines Day through everything from flowers, to sexy lingerie, to a box of chocolates or heart-shaped candy, to the millions of cards sent every year on Valentines Day — which is traditionally one of the year's biggest days for the greeting card industry.

As the saying goes, the only way quicker to the doghouse for the poor sap who forgets his anniversary is to forget Valentines Day.

Valentines Day is also associated with a number of symbols, most notably the winged baby with that deadly bow and arrow we've come to call Cupid. On the Internet, Valentines Day has also become big business, as there are numerous places you can get interactive e-cards. There are also a number of blogs devoted to Valentines Day.
