    Vector Magic

    http://colleenmitchell.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 19/ vector-magic/

I just added Vector Magic to my links under Resources.  I can’t say enough about this site.  Maybe I don’t know how to use Illustrator’s LiveTrace correctly but I never get the results I get with Vector Magic.  Unfortunately for me (but good for them!), it’s no longer in the beta stage and there is

Vector graphics are something you may encounter at some point if you ever do any logo design or print work. Vector images uses mathematical equations to render thus can be resized without the pixelation concerns of non-vector images. New Subscription Plan from VectorMagic When VectorMagic was originally released, I couldn’t believe it was free. I was vectorizing logos and artwork constantly. Then one day, everything changed. Work Your Magic

    http://tomographyblog.com/ 2008/ 02/ 12/ work-your-magic/

Vector images (not Vexel) have revolutionized computer graphics because they are so versatile, easy to use, and because they can be scaled without loss of image quality! Vector images are not made up of pixels, but they are mathematical representations of an image, therefor they can be manipulated easily, and generally do not take up as much disc space.
