I can't believe I am just now catching on to this. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. I'm sad to announce that Vegoose 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada has been cancelled. I was actually planning to make this trip! A festival in October with a Halloween atmosphere in Las Vegas was so damn appealing to me.

I read an interesting article today in the Las Vegas Sun that spells doom for the future of the Vegoose music festival. Check out... Vegoose is one cooked goose. According to the article, the folks at Thomas & Mack and the Silver Bowl are not hosting Vegoose this year.

Turns out the rumors were true. Despite an apparent set date, the fourth annual Vegoose Music Festival has been cancelled. In fact, based on the words from Thomas & Mack Center and Sam Boyd Stadium director Daren Libonati, the Las Vegas festival may not be going down anytime ever again.

Aat this point, you're probably so sick of festival news (although the lineup for the London Auto Show has been announced!) that a festival un-announcement at least represents something of a reprieve. So! The Las Vegas mini-Bonnaroo Vegoose seems to be kaput, with attendance in recent years never quite reaching the heights of its 2005 inaugural run.
