vince vaughn

Vince Vaughn is an American actor who has garnered much success, mostly in film. Born in Minneapolis, MN in 1970, Vaughn started acting in community theater at age seven. After graduating from Illinois’s Lake Forest High School in 1988, Vaughn moved to Hollywood to begin an acting career in earnest, and was cast in the 1993 football drama Rudy. Slowly but subsequently, Vaughn’s career thrived as he landed parts in films such as the Jurassic Park sequel, Lost World, the remake of Psycho, Clay Pigeons, The Cell, and Domestic Disturbance with John Travolta.

Despite Vaughn’s talent in dramatic films, the role that gave him significant acclaim was in the 1996 cult classic Swingers. Vaughn’s portrayal of the arrogant and fast talking Tent Walker proved to be a touchstone characterization that Vaughn would draw from in future successful comedic roles (Old School, Starsky and Hutch, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Be Cool, Wedding Crashers, The Break-Up, and Fred Claus.) His frequent collaboration with Swingers’ writer and actor Jon Favreau as well as the “Frat Packers”, is also a factor in Vaughn’s flourishing career.
