Can a hearse with a corpse in it drive in the carpool lane? Why do Kamikaze pilots even bother wearing a helmet? Why do we point to our wrist when we want to find out what time it is but we don't point at our crotch when we want to find out where the bathroom is? Do blind people dream? What do they dream about? These are all the types of questions you can mull over when you are walking.

Almost everyone in the world is part of the walking community to one degree or another. Whether just walking from our car into the grocery store or walking on a walking trail for fitness, we are a part of the walking community.

Walkers are sometimes referred to as pedestrians. Interest in pedestrianism has dropped dramatically recently. Although it is still an Olympic sport, it doesn't seem to capture people's attention in the way it used to.

Dave Kunst is known as the man who walked around the entire world. He started his walk traveling east from Waseca, Minnesota on June 20, 1970 and completed his journey on October 5, 1974 when he re-entered the town from the west.
