watches

A watch, also called a timepiece, is a device that keeps track of the passage of time, often worn on the wrist or in a pocket.

Mechanical watches are generally made up of approximately 130 parts or more that work in unison to keep track of time. They are sensitive to temperature, often expensive and lack slightly in terms of accuracy. Electronic watches with quartz movements are generally more affordable and more accurate than mechanical watches.

People often consider watches as a form of jewelry while others consider watches to be accessories.


Watches sometimes are used for more than a means to find out the current time. Depending on the occasion, a specific watch may be worn. For example, there is a certain line of watches for men that are appropriate for dressing in informal, semi-formal, and formal attire. These watches are typically made from gold, are plain and simple and are usually thin.
