Adam Jacob and I did an IT Conversations podcast with Phil Windley last week, which I really enjoyed. We started with a summary of Adam's excellent Web2.0 Expo session, covered the phases of startup growth using virtual infrastructures like EC2 and 3tera, and discussed how Puppet shifts us to "Infrastructure as Code".

This was originally posted in April as "Twitter: A Twit Twit here and a Tweet Tweet there..." but has been repeatedly updated. It seemed like a good time to re-issue it. At some point I need to re-structure the information but for now a simple unordered list will have to do.

(Sorry it’s been awhile since my last blog - it took me several days to figure out how to get my Flip video imported and exported to and from iMovie. To make a long story short, if you want to export from iMovie and have both picture and sound, you must import your source as something other than MP4 or AVI.) This is the first article in my “Utah Startup Series“.

Brian Zisk has done it again. After the wildly successful SanFran MusicTech Summit last February at Hotel Kabuki, he rallied the troops for round two of what I hope will be a regular event going forward. The first Summit, which I reviewed here, set the bar high.

There is a great event on this weekend in Baltmore. SocialDevCampEast is meeting there at the Uiversity of Baltimore. This is the Unconference for Thought Leaders of the future social web. I am excited about participating because I see so many opportunities to apply social technologies to transform health care.
