Website design includes a wide range of skills to bring information and presentations to the World Wide Web. The World Wide Web Consortium - W3C - publishes and monitors web standards as they relate to data formation, delivery and design. The skills may include: animation, authoring, communication or marketing design, corporate identity, graphic design, human-computer interaction, information architecture, search engine optimization and scripting or programming skills among others. Good website design gets the message across with the right visual image and the structure to allow easy movement from one part of the site to the balance of the site.

Website design blogs include resources, tips and techniques for those working themselves and other blogs include information on website design professionals including portfolios of their work. Daily Blog Tips offers a blog listing the Top 25 Web Design Blogs for further reference.
