These muffins have a rustic, hearty taste that is a far cry from the sugary, buttery, over-sized muffins being pimped to us from every coffee counter.

An event started by Nandita of Saffron Trail, Mansi chose the theme Balanced Breakfast Meals which immediately made me think of what Mr CC eats every morning of (almost) every day of the year: Organic steel cut oats with chopped apples, low-fat milk or yogurt, a sprinkling of cinnamon and some toasted almonds.

Crab Quesadillas

On the weekend I picked up some more frozen cooked king crab that was still in the shell. I wanted to have the crab in a dish that would not over power the crab flavour and texture.

The fantastic grocery store across the street from my home often yields amazing delights. One of which is both the pods and the leaves of the moringa tree.
