Are You Addicted to Your Ego?

    http://www.care2.com/ greenliving/ are-you-addicted-to-your-ego.html

Wholeness is safe; duality isn’t. Wholeness brings a seamless, unified world, but you will not know what that world feels like until you give your allegiance to a new operating system. Shifting from the old system to the new one is a process, one that each of us must commit ourselves to every [...]

    Spiritual Composting

Life coach and educator Dawna Markova, a Ph.D., gives us Wide Open, a rare book of inspiring lessons from which all of us can learn. Here is her lesson about composting life’s pains and tribulations: If your purpose is only about you, it has no branches.

    Craving

    http://digtoesin.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 10/ 03/ craving/

October 3, 2008 I am craving comfort… Warm fire place, over-sized sweater, snuggly blanket. Macaroni and cheese, gingersnaps, chocolate, grilled cheese and tomato soup. Hot cocoa, Hot apple cider.  I’m doing all of my not-so-good for me comfort-seeking behaviours.  Eat something, check email, find

    Rest amid chaos…

    http://solarcrash.com/ 2008/ 09/ 26/ rest-amid-chaos/

I had our community do an online vote for what we’ll be exploring together for this sunday gathering.  Our top pick this week was  Finding rest and wholeness in a world of chaos and brokenness  In the spirit of keeping things collaborative, anyone have any theological or practical thoughts on this? Days Like This

    http://digtoesin.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 19/ days-like-this-2/

September 19, 2008 I hate days like this. Days when everything feels fragile.  When I feel bruised and vulnerable. Days when things between Husband and I feel tenuous. And the big and small events swirling around us overwhelm. Days when the yelling Mama makes an appearance far more frequently then the calm instructive Mama.

    Sacred Relationships

    http://geteasyarticle.com/ 2008/ 09/ 14/ sacred-relationships/

Our most intimate experience of self is often that of what we need, wish for, or want, and so it is natural for us to imagine and hope for what we desire in another. Sometimes this wishing comes from our better self - the part that knows what we truly need and has higher aspirations for ourselves and others.

Creative Corner: Advice for the Multi-Talented Creative

    http://www.riehlife.com/ 2008/ 09/ 06/ creative-corner-advice-for-the-multi-tale…

Dear Riehlife, I feel swamped after my first week teaching. Is my extensive creative life outside school as a dancer and workshop leader a dodge or escape or a wish for failure for my main work as a poet? What am I in quest of?

The Creator Does Not Have Arms or Legs

    http://www.laitman.com/ 2008/ 09/ the-creator-does-not-have-arms-or-legs/

Questions I received on religion and Kabbalah: Question: Maybe things should be made easier for people who are interested in studying the wisdom of Kabbalah (both Jews and gentiles) by telling them that at the end of the correction process, there is a connection between one’s actions and spirituality.

    Classical Spirituality

    http://www.peter-ould.net/ 2008/ 09/ 02/ classical-spirituality/

The Internet Monk published a piece a few days ago which is worth thinking about: So….imagine that a Baptist (or other evangelical)- like my dear wife used to be, for example- were to decide that he or she wanted to deepen their spiritual life; to grow spiritually and in spiritual disciplines; to seek out spiritual direction and pursue spiritual formation.

    More on Jeffrey John

    http://www.peter-ould.net/ 2008/ 09/ 01/ more-on-jeffrey-john/

Adrian the Pluralist has responded to my piece on Jeffrey John, writing the following: I have been asked to speculate on what will happen regarding Anglican politics should Jeffrey John become Bishop of Bangor.
