Whilst sitting in a doctors waiting room the other day I noticed a group of small children congregated together in a play area. It occurred to me how very bored and frustrated the adults all looked who were waiting for their turn to be called.

This weekend I received two books from Amazon I ordered about crafting wooden puzzles yourself: Crafting Wood Logic Puzzles - Very nice book with 126 pages explaining into detail how to make 18 different kind of three dimensional games for the hands and mind.

Since my 2 year-old is obsessed with puzzles at the moment, I am always on the look-out for fun, educational, high quality puzzles that she might be able to do. A recent surfing expedition revealed these totally cool layered, life-cycle puzzles. They are made of wood and feature five separate puzzle pictures to complete.
