Chaos in Tejas 2008: 10 Favorite Moments
http://www.cultpunk.com/ ?p=340TOP 10 FAVORITE MOMENTS FROM CHAOS IN TEJAS 2008 10. Favorite thing about the fest overall: That it happened thanks to the organizing effort and hard work of Timmy Hefner, and that the assortment of bands was as eclectic (from Roky Erickson to Tragedy to Los Crudos, etc.) and spot-on as it was.

http://www.cultpunk.com/ ?p=339The Victim of Time blog wrote a good (pre-show) writeup about the 2008 Chaos in Tejas festival HERE. A post-fest review is at Austin360.com HERE. Review of World Burns to Death’s “Graveyard of Utopia” CD
http://www.cultpunk.com/ ?p=334Dying, we yearn For worlds unconceived. Our words are defiant, But doomed, we all know, Too early precursors Of a spring that’s too slow. We are steps above the void, Children of darkness, we wait for the sun– We will glimpse its rays, and then, like shadows, We will die when it comes.

WORLD BURNS TO DEATH.
http://loresviscera.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 04/ world-burns-to-death.htmlThere's not alot of things I like about the Lone Star State, but these hardcore motherfuckers from Austin are definitely one thing I do dig - alot. You pretty much can't go wrong with any of their releases, and I kind of liken them to something like a more violent-sounding / highly political Poison Idea (War All the Time - era) in the approach to their sound.

Chaos in Tejas 2008
http://www.cultpunk.com/ ?p=324Just a reminder: Wow: Roky Erickson and World Burns to Death at one fest? A very catholic assortment of bands. And don’t forget that New Bomb Turks are still slated to play a May 17 reunion show at Emo’s as well. I guess a parallel show to Chaos? I have tickets to both.

Chaos in Tejas 2008 this May
http://www.cultpunk.com/ ?p=306Chaos in Tejas is coming once again this year to Emo’s in May, and yet another impressive roster has been assembled, not the least of which includes the reformed Los Crudos, Japan’s Crude in their only US show, some Swedish and Spanish action going on, and one of my fave current HC bands, Canada’s Under Pressure.
