WSF/PHP and WSF/Python Alphas released

As I mentioned earlier, we at WSO2 are working on WSF/PHP 2.0.0 and WSF/Python 1.0.0. As an initial step, Alpha releases were released. You can get WSF/PHP Alpha from here and WSF/Python Alpha from here. WSF/Python Alpha is only supported in Linux. We are working on to give support in Windows as well.

WSF/PHP Demo Site Back in Action

After some maintenance work over last few days WSF/PHP Demo site is up back again. And note that this is not just a list of demos run using WSF/PHP package. It actually provide the source code of the demos and documentations if there are any. So here is an update of what you can find in this site.

WSO2 Web Services Framework for Ruby (WSF/Ruby) 1.1.0 Released

WSO2 WSF/Ruby is back in a release, after more than 6 months. We released the WSF/Ruby 1.0.0 in this January (with the start of the year work) with a number of features that someone may expect in a WS-* stack.

WSO2 WSF/RUBY 1.1.0 is released today (23 July 2008). WSF/Ruby is the Ruby language extension to WSO2 WSF/C. This enables you to consume/provide Web Services both with REST and with the power of WS-* stack including WS-Reliable Messaging, WS-Security, WS-Addressing and MTOM Attachments.

Open Source Web Services with Ruby

Ruby is an interesting dynamic programing language which is considered as a scripting language but I don't think it is fair enough to categorize it as just a Scripting Language, but it should be considered as a fully fledged programing language. Proving that WSF/Ruby adds the capability of doing Web Services with Ruby.

Web Service Interoperability - WSO2 Stock Trader

We demonstrated interoperability between WSF/PHP, JAVA and .NET web services in last Microsoft Teched. To improve the story, we have implemented stock trader application in WSF/Ruby, WSF/Perl, WSF/Python and WSF/Spring as well. This will be demonstrated in OSCON tomorrow.

Today, the board of Sound Transit is meeting to decide whether to put a plan to increase the sales tax to finance light rail and other transit options for the next decade or two.
