XBox Kinect is a device attached to Microsoft's XBox 360. It connects, and is powered by, a Universal Serial Bus connection.

Xbox Kinect, described as a "controller-free gaming and entertainment experience" is much like a web camera but with extra functionality.

XBox Kinect, formerly known as Project Natal, tracks moves and actions of players of Kinect games, using infra-red technology. Attached to the camera is a microphone and a recording device to record users in full RGB color. To automatically sign players into the system, XBox Kinect employs face recognition capabilities.
