    Breaking Down the Silos

    http://www.dailykaizen.org/ archives/ 578

Four years ago when I first began working in healthcare I was amazed how difficult it was to get work done outside of a functional area.  I worked at three different organizations during graduate school (internships) and then took a job with my current employer and all of them were completely siloed.

    No Humor Here

No Humor Here Posted by Lizzie on Saturday, September 6, 2008 Dang it.  I hate it when I realize I am depressed.  I mean I really hate it.  I had a medication change a couple of months ago and it triggered mania.  I have decided mania is pretty fun.  It is, however, a slippery slope to depression.

    When We Were Kids

    http://avidityfitness.net/ 2008/ 09/ 06/ when-we-were-kids/

“When I was a kid I used to be able to jump in a snap!” “When I was a kid I used to be able to tumble like that!” How often have you heard these comments? Probably quiet often if you are a coach or trainer. I hear these comments daily. I can’t help but find them comical, because often they are an excuse for lack of drive and fear.

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” -Philippians 2:12-13

    The Stages of Seminary

    http://www.goingtoseminary.com/ what-is-seminary-like/

This is a guest post by John Dyer.  John is the director of web development at DTS and creator of the site Best Commentaries. In my final year at Dallas Seminary I began to emerge from a time where I had become somewhat cynical. As I thought about how I had changed and observed students going through similar phases, a common pattern seemed to emerge among all of us.
