NIT tutorial – attach a flash drive to your tablet

    http://www.womworld.com/ nokia/ 3344/ nit-tutorial-%e2%80%93-attach-a-flash-driv…

neoncherry on her Internet Tablet School blog has brought us a video explaining how to connect a flash USB drive to your tablet. She says that some people prefer to use flash drives rather than memory cards, and their ease of use with desktop PCs means they are more flexible than having to use a card reader.

Nokia as a mobile hardware company

    http://www.exehome.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ nokia-as-a-mobile-hardware-company/

I’m disappointed to hear Nokia aiming to re-invent itself as an Internet company. Yes, Nokia re-invented itself before from rubber boots. And yes shifting boxes like what Dell does is kinda boring (and not very profitable). However I still think the mobile hardware industry has a long way to go before reaching the sort of unsexy stage the commodity PC market is in.

Setting up Gmail on your N800/N810

Well, there isn't really any magic here but since it took me a few cracks to get it right I thought I'd throw it on the web in case someone else needed a hand. First, if you're on the N800 head over to Nokia and grab the latest firmware updates. Then fire up the email client, and add a new account.

N810 – OS causes blogger to ‘fall in love’

    http://www.womworld.com/ nokia/ 3338/ n810-%e2%80%93-os-causes-blogger-to-%e2%80…

David has been writing on his blog about the N810 he bought a while back, and how it ‘plays nice’ with the computers on his network. He’s a fan of the fact that the IT runs Nokia’s Maemo Linux, and he praises the abilities of the device to SSH into his server - and ‘look good doing it’ - thus earning the N810 lots of ‘geek points’.

Mark Guim over at The Nokia Blog has a suggestion for Nokia regarding the S60 browser. He’s has created a video showing the extra button presses needed on the N95 8GB browser simply to input the .com of a URL. Borrowing from Opera Mini, Mark suggests that an auto complete option should be included.

Thanks to Thoughtfix for the heads up on a new survey posted on the Tableteer. If you’re not familiar, the Tableteer (also referred to as the OS2008 User Site in your device’s bookmarks) is a website that’s only accessible from an Internet Tablet, and it offers direct links to featured applications, as well as an inside look at the team behind the Nokia Internet Tablets.
