Viigo has been awarded the “Most Promising New Company of the Year” at the Canadian New Media Awards. Viigo brings you the content you search online such as news, sports, entertainment, weather, markets or any RSS feeds to your Windows Mobie or BlackBerry smartphone.

Viigo is quickly becoming one of the easiest ways for BlackBerry users to stay up to date on all their sporting news. Following their recent NBA basketball announcement, Viigo has launched its NCAA basketball service, just in time for the start of the Men’s college season.

DailyLit seems to be one of the more aggressive innovators in the e-book world, as of late. The following is from its blog: We’re happy to announce that we’ve worked with Viigo, a developer of mobile content and delivery platforms for smartphones, to make 25 of our most popular books available through the Viigo service.

Viigo & DailyLit now offer a list of 25 free e-books to that you can read via your mobile.  Some of the book titles are: Pride and Prejudice, Dracula, Moby Dick, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. To get this you will need to download Viigo (it’s free) and from the home screen click on Entertainment

Viigo has teamed up with DailyLit to offer you a library of e-books for FREE via the Viigo service! If you have Viigo already, you can just click through Entertainment and ‘Add Channel’ and choose ‘DailyLit’ from the options. You’ll then have 25 free books to choose from.

In the most recent edition of our Nan the Power User editorial series, Nan demonstrated how using Viigo could help reduce your email clutter. Our friend from the South is currently on his honeymoon, but if he was available, I’m sure he’d be spreading the word that Viigo can now help reduce your book clutter through its new e-book service, powered by DailyLit.
