    The Evolution? of Rhetoric

    http://wordscause.com/ 2008/ 09/ 05/ the-evolution-of-rhetoric/

I’ve noticed something a lot over the last few years. People and society in America has really evolved. The conversations have really shifted to a different level than ever before. Now, I know that some people will point out that we invaded Iraq and Bush this and Bush that. McSame this, McSame that.

To mark 1000 posts on this blog, I thought I’d reflect on what I’ve learned since post #1. Blogging is not ‘writing a blog’. Blogging is linking and commenting. Any writing is a bonus. Regular posting is important… But quality posting is even more important.

Is this a burning question for you? Well, you're in luck, Lindy and I had a think about this issue and wrote an article about it. Please check it out, rate, review if you can (you may need to be a member of ASAE to do that, but not to read it!) The living bibliography is here.

    Friday Finds

    http://www.evangelismcoach.org/ 2008/ 09/ friday-finds-21

Bob Lotich, guest blogger for ChurchMarketingSucks.com gives a list of reasons to run from a church. In it, he discusses visible clues that as a visiting guest he’s able to pick up on in a few repeat visits. Everything was Mediocre The Place was full of strife Unwillingness to Adapt Tickled the Ears Not Led with Passion.

Yaawwnn *strettchh* So, what did you think of McCains speech? I think if Palin continues to have the momentum that she has, she will be the only thing keeping this ticket afloat!

    http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/ forum/ political-conversation-debate/ 609615-obama…

While the Obama campaign might be slamming Sarah Palin for being only mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, here is his idea of a 'great mayor" in his own words... Right Wing News (Conservative News and Views) This raises a question for all the Obama supporters on here-does this statement mean A-Obama will

    Are Twitter Conversations Dying?

    http://davefleet.com/ 2008/ 09/ are-twitter-conversations-dying/

Over the last month or two I’ve noticed a sharp decline in the amount of conversation occurring on Twitter. People are still using the service, for sure (witness the number of tweets about McCain’s "ground noise and static" comment, in reference to protesters at the Republican Convention, within seconds of the comment for proof).

    http://www.straightrazorplace.com/ forums/ conversation/ 25868-here-comes-storm-…

Anyone else on the coast of SC or NC? As a surfer, these are times that make living on the coast worthwhile. Usually these storms bring large swells which make for some unforgettable surf. On the other hand, Hanna has come at a bad time. The wife and I have bought a new house and have been waiting weeks for the big moving day.
