I own an Icy Blue DS Lite (Japanese import), my Mr. got it for me 2 years ago and I remember crying when I got it. I’m such a sap! Anyway, I’ve always been over-protective of my stuff. Gelaskins are protective plastic stickers to put on iPods, laptops, and now, PSP's and DS Lites. They protect the systems from scratches and daily wear and tear. They only offer them for classic PSP's and DS Lites right now, but I'm sure PSP Slims will come soon.

We recently told you about Colorware customizing PSPs and the DS, but as cool as it would be to have them pimp your handheld, some people can’t afford it. Gelaskins has a much cheaper alternative. Gelaskins is known for doing laptops, iPods, phones etc. but they have branched out to the PSP and the DS.

Most laptop fans will have heard of GelaSkins, protective/decorative covers that can be stuck and unstuck to your favorite gadgets with extreme ease. Now GelaSkins has just announced that they'll begin selling DS and PSP cases as well. For $20 a pop, the covers aren't super cheap, but they really are well-printed with very rich colors.

I love the look of a good motherboard; it needn’t have funky colors or excessive decoration, it is one of the few things that in the words of Chris Rock, “works on its own.” So does the Mac Book Pro, which is why I would be hesitant to alter one in any way; but if you give me a motherboard Gelaskin, I just might.

Like GalleryPlayer yesterday, this isn’t news per se, more of a “if you didn’t know about this…” Gelaskins. It’s like a vinyl sticker for your laptop or iPod or iPhone. The company licenses not-too-shabby artwork, then makes the sticker, which you place on your device of choice.
