    Puppy Adopted, Crisis Averted

    http://www.rileylashea.com/ blog/ 2008/ 09/ 06/ puppy-adopted-crisis-averted/

If you are not reading this in an RSS feed, this content has been stolen from: Random Riley Yay! Good news! Albuquerque, whom I trust is no longer named Albuquerque, was adopted by someone other than us. This pleases me greatly, because now I can believe he has a yard and someone who is able to dedicate more time to their puppy love.

Numbers…More Than Just Your Weight So they did blood work on me when I arrived several weeks ago. It reinforced everything the doctor told me, and it was very discouraging. One of my goals was to get some weight off and hopefully start to lower my high risk category.

    Practice What You Preach (12)

    http://www.buddycremeans.com/ 2008/ 09/ 06/ practice-what-you-preach-12/

Worship Is Your Way Out. In our blockbuster summer series At The Movies, I shared that worship is your way out of your dark times. That has resonated with me here. Alone. Every few weeks or so someone asks me if I’ve ever published a short list of some of what I call BawldGuy Axioms. My reply is typically something akin to, “That sounds like a good idea. I’ll see if I can’t make it happen.” Well, here we are. A baker’s dozen, selected at random.

    Questions kids ask

    http://www.democratherald.com/ dhblogs/ jennifer_moody/ ?p=256

Overheard at Heritage Mall: Little boy: “Mommy, who’s our president?” Mom: “Who’s our president now? George Bush.” Little boy: “He’s a good president.” Mom: “You think so? Mmm. Well, I won’t argue with you.” Boy: “Why did he start a war?” Mom (after long pause): ‘You know, I don’t think I want to discuss politics with you.” I hear ya, Mom.

    http://www.gilbertology.net/ 2008/ 09/ 05/ gilbert-as-an-olympianfor-china/

Over on TrueHoop (via Bullets Forever) a bit of wild idea get tossed around about how Gilbert could end up on an Olympic team, even if it isn’t the Dream Team: I’m not sure what the rules say about this but can we possibly see something play out where an NBA All-Star will don the uniform of a different country a la Becky Hammon of the WNBA?

Pick Up Singing On The Internet

    http://musicianhome.com/ practice/ pick-up-singing-on-the-internet

Singing has several advantages as a hobby or a practice. To begin with it is quite a fun practice. But the singing is not restricted to being merely a fun recreational exercise. Singing in fact since time immemorial has been a great way of self-expression. Say what you have to say in a song.
