The ASUS Padfone was a device tat was shown to the world way ahead of its' time back in early May 2011. Since then, we hadn't heard much about it, until December 2011. ASUS had been holding out on it because they wanted to ensure it was designed with the best avaialable technology, as well as the best available software. Fast forward to 2012, we had heard about the ambitions of reveiling the ASUS PadFone possibly at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. That had not been confirmed at the time of the report, but now it has.

Modaco has gotten confirmation from ASUS that we will in fact see the PadFone at MWC this year between Feb. 27th - Mar. 1st. The ASUS PadFone is expected to be running Android 4.0 ICS out of the box as well. The unique part of the ASUS PadFone is the docking ability of the 4.3inch smartphone into the acksde of the tablet itself, thus having the ability to power the tablet and share data between the two devices seemlessly. The tablet itself is a 10.1 inch screen with MicroSD card support, 5 megapixel rear camera with 2 megapixel front facing camera and can charge the smartphone while it's docked. The tablet will also have the option of connecting to the Transformer or Transformer Prime's keyboard dock. Now that's a pretty amazing device! You can see more about it in the following video.
