Droid Incredible Available for Pre-Order; Advance Reviews Positive
So for those of you with a burning desire to grab one of the most anticipated chunks of technology so far this year (with a name that doesn't begin with a lower-case "i"), Verizon has begun taking pre-orders on the upcoming Droid Incredible, by HTC. Pricing is currently set at $199 with a 2 year contract, or $529 for an outright purchase.
If you haven't heard about this spicy piece of kit, it's got a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a huge display, an 8-megapixel camera, and comes with 8GB of onboard memory, expandable to 32GB with MicroSD cards. Oh, and it runs Android of course. Dig IntoMobile's unboxing and hands on video below:
Reviews for pre-release versions have been excellent overall, with PC World saying it lives up to its name (one assumes they mean Incredible, not Droid), Edgadget saying it's the best Android device available in America right now, and IntoMobi, Boy Genius and Gizmodo all weighing in with solid commentary.
Release date is April 29, so you don't have long to wait if you want one.
