Google Recommends Incredible for Verizon Subscribers
Well, for those of you Verizon subscribers that were hoping to buy a Nexus One, you might want to just grab the new HTC Incredible instead. Just ask Google.
Not only is Google not offering the Nexus One to Verizon customers, a visit to the Nexus One purchase page actually recommends that you go buy the HTC Incredible instead. They've even included a handy link to the preorder page on Verizon's site.
At first glance, this might appear wacky. But remember, Google has a huge interest in expanding the adoption of Android as a mobile OS, and if they're not ready to have the Nexus One on Verizon for whatever the reason, NOT sending people over to grab a powerful handset that runs the OS would be a silly cut-off-nose-to-spite-face move.
There's no news yet about whether or not the Nexus One will ever be offered on Verizon's network, but I wouldn't hold your breath if I was you: the Incredible has already surpassed the Nexus One spec-wise, and it would serve Google to simply wait for the next iteration of their device, if one ever arrives.
