Nexus 7 16GB Sold Out, New Commercial Launches
It's been a pretty successful run for Google and the Nexus 7 tablet. So far, they have managed to sell completely out of the 16GB models on the Google Play online store. When you visit the store to make a purchase, you'll see what we see above, which states it's "coming soon". The 16GB model is clearly the more popular choice than the 8GB model being the tablet is only $200. Chipping in another $50 US gets you the 16GB model. Apparently, that's the sentiment of most who made the orders.
The Nexus 7 tablet is made by ASUS, who has definately enjoyed Android tablet success with the Transformer family of devices. The Nexus 7 tablet is being hailed as the best sub $200 tablet available. That thought from many comes with good reason as it has access to the huge number of apps through the Google Play store, the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed and $25 worth of free Play purchases. On top of that, it has a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, front facing camera, 1GB RAM, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and a 1280x800 HD IPS display. No rear camera however, but who really needs that anyway.
Google is enjoying the success of this tablet launch, so much so, that they've launched a new commercial for the Nexus 7. It highlights a few features, as well as our inability to let technology go, even when camping. My dad would not have been very impressed had I had one of these camping in my youth.
