Samsung Nexus S owners won't have to wait too much longer to get a taste (I know that term is over used in this context) of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A new update on the Android Google+ Page stated the following;
"We’re rolling out Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, to GSM/UMTS Nexus S devices over the coming month, starting today,"

On top of the update starting to roll for the Nexus S, the Galaxy Nexus started receiving updates as well moving up to Android 4.0.2, and now for a small few, Android 4.0.3 which has numerous bug fixes and additions including optimization for social networks within the 'People' App. The updates rolling are currently mostly for the GSM Nexus S owners, but we're sure the other models will get theirs as well soon enough.

If you have a Nexus S and want to grab the update now instead of waiting for it to show in your notifications, you can download and manually install (AWS version) it with help from Google Support here.
