Rooting (gaining root access to your phone's operating system) isn't for everyone.

Although it allows you to do things like delete apps that you might not otherwise get your delete button around, load leaked and tweaked versions of an operating system, and sideload apps from your computer, the process can be a bit daunting, particularly for people used to pointing and clicking to do what they want.

So while a hardcore phone geek may want to root their Droid X phone via the traditional step-by-step method, now even the point-and-click fans can jump on the rooting bandwagon. An Alldroid user has released a simple Windows-based app that will allow you to root and un-root your Droid X with a click of the button. So if rooting your phone is something that you've always wanted to do, but you're intimidated by command prompts (wimp), give it a shot.

Users thus far are reporting success, but don't come crying to us if you brick your Droid, k?
