When you can get large companies to integrate your products into their world, you've got something going on. When you can get the government to give approval to use your products, you're one step closer to having a large account income over a number of years. If you think about how many cars Ford must have sold to government agencies for their Crown Victoria model vehicles for police cruisers and ghost cars, it becomes apparent that as long as that amount of money keeps coming in, you don't even need to sell it to the common consumer anymore.

Samsung may be looking at a large sale of Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S II devices as they have been given security passing grades for use by government agencies, and any other firm with security as priority. The FIPS certification is what Samsung has attained for both these devices, giving the stamp of secure approval. They aren't the first devices to get this, but they are certainly some of the more popular ones to receive it.
