T-Mobile Prism Coming May 6th

For all the budget-minded customers out there that are looking to buy a low cost Android handset, T-Mobile has a phone for you — The Prism.

The T-Mobile Prism will run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and have an 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen and a 3.2-megapixel camera. According to CNet.com the T-Mobile Prism will also have a 600MHz processor,2GB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. The handset will run on T-Mobile's 3G network, but no word on whether or not it supports T-Mobile's 4G HPSA+ network. Aside from the handsets technical specification it will feature support for Microsoft Exchange which, will allow users to check there business email accounts, and it will have support for Google calendar. Also there is no word on whether or not it will be upgrade to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

So, if you are in the market for a low cost Android handset this could be for you. The T-Mobile Prism will cost $19.99 with a two-year contract after a $50 dollar mail in rebate. If you are looking to get this handset on a contract free plan it will cost you $149.99, and will be available at Best Buy on May 6th , Walmart May 9th and at T-Mobile stores and online on May 23rd.
