Acer has launched new Acer C120 ultraportable pico projector that can be powered using USB drive connection through PC. Company has reported that it would be ideal On-The-Go device. Now it would be easy for people like me, who constantly give lectures especially in not-so-developed areas.

Acer C120 was actually announced on CES. It is a small palm-sized projector and has dimensions of 4.72” (W) x 3.23” (D) x 1.0” (H). It weighs 6.34 ounces. It can also be powered by AC adaptor, which is standard for all of the company’s laptops.

The Acer C120 has a quick start bulb (LED lamp) and comes with 100 lumens of brightness. However, it gives 75 lumens of brightness on using the USB power option. It offers 16:9 aspect ratio at WVGA resolution (854x480) or at the maximum resolution WXGA (1280x800) in a 16:10 aspect ratio, USB 3.0 that increases the data transfer by 10 times as compared to the traditional USB 2.0. It has a high 1000:1 contrast ratio resulting in crisper photos and presentations. Acer’s ColorSafe technology and improved color saturation (60 to 120 percent NTSC) leads to better image quality and accuracy.

“We’ve designed the Acer C120 projector to be a powerful tool for businesspeople, consultants, real estate agents and anyone who needs an ultra-portable projector that will make their presentations even more effective,” said Chris White, senior director of product marketing, Acer America. “It‘s very convenient to use and provides a range of usage scenarios, making it the ideal companion for anyone that gives presentations on the go.”

It comes at a price of $259.99 and is available from the Acer Store with one year warranty.
